Useful On-Line Tools and Calculators

We are all aware of the push from the Government and HMRC to do things on-line (faster, better, cheaper - here we go again!) As a small part of this drive to make things more streamlined, the HMRC and Gov.UK have helped by assembling a list of useful on-line tools and calculators in one place.

A broad range of topics are covered, from a Company Car calculator, to statutory payment calculators for SSP, SMP etc, and many more other things in between.

For example, the Employment status indicator can help you determine if a worker is an employee or self employed, allowing you to correctly treat staff for PAYE and NI. Another one, the EU VAT Number validation tool can check if a VAT number is valid.

OK, this is probably not the most exciting blog you will ever read, but you might find it useful if you did not know the handy list of tools and calculators was there.
